The Forum Special Ranks & Forum Houses

This topic will inform all the members about the ranks and houses. The ranks and houses on the forum can essentially be broken into four categories for the forum special ranks and four categories for the forum houses.

Forum Special Ranks

Headmaster (Administrator)

Headmaster also known as Administrator are basically in charge of the forum in every aspect. Headmaster maintain the functionality of the site and make sure it runs smoothly. They are in charge of the database on which the site operates, overall layout and structure of the site (including mods and add-ons), as well as pretty much anything else you can think of. They have the ability to delete/stick/move/close/merge posts and threads, as well as infract and ban users and IPs. If you ever have a problem with a site-related issue, contact the Headmaster.

Deputy Headmasters (Global Moderator)

Deputy Headmasters also known as Global Moderators are tasked with making sure the site stays clean. They remove unneeded or incendiary content and close threads that have been answered or have gone off-topic. Deputy Headmasters They also have the ability to issue infractions and bans, which they hand out as users act up. They make sure members have the best possible experience they can on the site. If you have a problem with another member or with a thread or post, contact a Deputy Headmaster.

House Staff (Section House Moderators)

House Staff also known as Section House Moderators are the first line of defense in cleaning the forum, so to speak. They maintain all the moderating abilities of a Deputy Headmasters or Global Moderator, except their powers are exclusive to a given house section of the forum. They also lack the ability to infract or ban. They mainly make sure their house section remain neat and spam-free. If you have a problem with a post or thread in a house section where a House Staff is assigned, contact them.

Contributors

Contributors are mainly responsible for posting helpful and informative topics related to the forums they have no moderating abilities, but they do uphold a great deal of loyalty and respect for the site (in most cases at least). Any member of the forum may apply for the position and the Headmaster will determine if the applicant is qualified based on his/her postings.

How to Become a Forum Special Rank Member

There is no proven method to becoming a forum special rank member, but there are certain guidelines to follow if you wish to become one. Above all else, be helpful, respectful, and mature. Show knowledge in topics and help members who ask questions, while remaining friendly and kind.

When choosing a special rank member, we also take the following things into consideration -

- Knowledgeable about the forums
- Active member of the forums
- Loyal and trustworthy

In some cases a member may also be appointed by the Headmasters in any of the position available.

The Forum Houses

Hogwarts School has four houses this are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards.

In this forum we also have four users groups and sections named after the Hogwarts School houses. Each member may choose a house of his/her choice. Each houses are represented by a seal which is located under the name of a registered member. Each forum house section has a Head, a House Staff is resposible for the house section to remain neat and spam-free (see House Staff under Forum Special Ranks)

To join a users group click "Groups" on the menu and look for your forum house.
